Christmas Giftcast Exchange

I think I want to do a giftcast exchange for Christmas.

Huh?

Remember back in April, when some New England Podcasters swapped shows and we ended up with all sorts of craziness, like John Wall hosting the Financial Aid Podcast and his recommendations about selling your roommates’ stuff on eBay to raise money for school?

Well, that was the April’s Fool joke. Great fun. But what about a Christmas Giftcast Exchange, where we trade shows, but instead of parody and comedy, we trade straight up. For example, if Bryan Person hosted a full-on, regular episode of the Financial Aid Podcast and I did an episode of Managing the Gray, and CC did New Comm Road, and Chris Brogan did Vlog Soup, and John Wall did Teaching for the Future, and Dave LaMorte did Patriot World and Mrs. B did the M Show… you get the idea.

Actually… I would love to hear CC do Pacific Coast Hellway and Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff do something very different like an episode of U Turn Cafe.

Anyone in New England or beyond want to do a Christmas Giftcast Exchange?

    I basically envision it working like this. You say, hey, this show is up for grabs. Then you’d ask, “Hey, XXX, may I do a Giftcast episode of your show, ZZZ?” Ideally, they’d say, “Sure, please do!” Then you create an episode of their show for them as a gift.

    Just for the record I’m a Jets fan. We should all opt in and Chris could pull names out of a hat. Then if say I was doing U-Turn Cafe, CC would send me all the audio files and I could use them to make my episode. It’s a great idea.

    I have always wanted to host an episode of Pacific Coast Hellway. Thinking about MYN doing a U-Turn that has to be G rated is priceless. He’s certainly got the music ear for it!
