+ The European Central Bank and the U.S. Federal Reserve may have to raise interest rates once more to keep inflation in check, International Monetary Fund Managing Director Rodrigo Rato was quoted on Monday as saying.

Scholarship Update
+ Discover Financial Services Tribute Awards Scholarships
+ Up to $1 million in scholarships is available annually to high school juniors nationwide.
+ Any current high school junior who meets the following qualifications is eligible:
+ Is enrolled in an accredited public or private high school in the United States
+ Has at least 2.75 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale for the 9th and 10th grades
+ Demonstrates accomplishments in Leadership and Community Service and has faced a significant roadblock or challenge.
+ State Scholarships
+ Up to 300 Awards—$2,500 each
+ National Scholarships
+ Up to Ten Awards—$25,000 each
+ State and national scholarships can be used for any type of post–high school education or training—certification, licensing, two or four year trade and technical school, or two or four year college.
+ The deadline for the 2007 program is a postmark date of January 31, 2007.
