Hey, I won a Seagate Pushbutton 750GB drive from Podtech!

So, last month I entered to win a contest for a 750GB Seagate Pushbutton drive on Podtech’s web site. Much to my surprise and delight this evening, I won. My thanks go to:

  • Seagate for giving away these gifts at CES
  • Podtech for sponsoring the contest
  • Robert Scoble for blogging about it, because I probably would not have heard about it if I didn’t read the Scobleizer.

As I mentioned in my entry, I’ll be using this drive for digital video editing. The Student Loan Network was kind enough to upgrade my aging G4 to a MacBook prior to end of fiscal year 2006, but video eats up ENORMOUS amounts of drive space, particularly if you shoot in DV or HDV. So I’ll be using this drive to store footage I shoot for some video that’s coming up soon, including:

Any way you cut it, Seagate and Podtech have made it easier for me to create content that will help students make college more affordable, and I thank them for it. Hey guys, please send me some 640×480 artwork I can use to thank you in one of the videos!
