8 December 2009 41 views No Comment

A new publication from the Casey Family Program – in cooperation with NASFAA and several other organizations – provides important information for anyone who helps youth from foster care and unaccompanied homeless youth complete the FAFSA. Specifically, the guide: aims to secure financial aid for students in postsecondary education; describes how to respond to new FAFSA questions 55-60 that will determine federal financial aid status for youth from foster care and the unaccompanied homeless; and includes a section on sensitive communications from the student perspective.
