There are deferment options for federal loans such as unemployment deferment and economic hardship deferment. There are also forgiveness programs available for certain professions.

I just received your Newsletter and it recommends a Stafford Loan. New student loans are Federal Direct Loans, the Stafford Loan program is not available anymore. Please update your newsletters and webpage to not mis-inform students.
