Broad Coalition Monitoring, Seeking Solutions to Veterans Benefits Issues
Postsecondary institutions have experienced a number of issues with veteran’s educational benefits since the inception of Chapter 33 benefits in 2009 under the Post-9/11 GI Bill. NASFAA has monitored those, and other VA issues through various meetings within a coalition of Washington-based higher education associations. Even though most of the issues lie outside the direct purview of most financial aid administrators, it is important for the financial aid community to be aware of these continued challenges.
