Bum Rush Mid-Day Stats Update

22 March 2007 1 views 5 Comments

Here’s a quick mid-day update on Bum Rush the Charts. Feedburner’s statistics of the blog itself:

Urchin statistics for the Buy Now page:

Total visitors so far to BRTC Buy Now page: 7,649 today at 1 PM ET. I would expect the afternoon to be relatively quiet, following by increased traffic around 6 PM ET as folks get home from work.

Update: Charles asked in the comments about purchase stats. I won’t know officially from Apple until they tell the band, but Linkshare (affiliate program) should be able to tell me stats in about 48 hours.

Update: Using Apple’s RSS iTunes Store Generator, we can now post these stats as of 3:18 PM:

  • #67 in the US iTunes Music Store for Rock
  • #22 in Canada, Rock
  • #35 in Australia, Rock
  • #71 in the UK, Rock
  • #13 in Germany, Rock

Here’s another one – judging by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, a Rock single needs to hit somewhere around #12 to break into the overall top 100.

more people spent the morning buying christina agulera? I just don’t think that’s even possible…

    Some other observations I’ve made:
There have been some movements of tracks in the top 100, but no Lab yet. You can gift multiple email addresses (up to 1000 characters worth) in a single shot. You cannot gift a US tune to other iTunes store accounts. The gifting function is smart enough to know if the email you are sending it to has already purchased the track.

That’s it for me so far…

Charles: a great question. I actually won’t have that data for some time. IODA Promonet will be giving us passthrough data as they get it, and when I get my hands on some, I’ll post it here.

Nice stats Chris, but how many visitors have bought the song?
