Great article. I couldn’t agree more. Working with students fresh out of school, it is completely regular to see a student not even know they have student loan debt. There is also great confusion between how much they owe the school vs. how much they owe the Department of Education in student loans. Sometimes students are still paying for parts of their education that weren’t covered by loans and go delinquent on the loan portion!
