NASFAA Signs Letter in Support of Safe Harbors for FWS Under the Affordable Care Act
NASFAA joined several higher education groups in signing a letter that calls for safe harbor provisions for student workers on campus related to a proposed rule for implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Under the ACA, employers must offer employees who work more than 30 hours a week access to healthcare through an employer-sponsored plan or make shared payments to the federal government if the employer elects not to offer coverage or offers inadequate coverage.
