New and experienced medical practitioners who are interested in working in a medically underserved area in exchange for reducing or eliminating their medical education loans are urged to apply to the National Health Service Corps. The deadline is 5pm ET on July 29, 2010. In exchange for two years of service in an approved site in a Health Professional Shortage Area, physicians, nurse practitioners, certified nurse-midwives, physician assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, and mental health providers qualify for $50,000 toward repayment of student loans.
