“Nineteen percent of households owed student-loan debt in 2010, and that debt burden is greatest at the bottom of the income scale, according to an analysis released on Wednesday by the Pew Research Center’s Social and Demographic Trends Project,” the Chronicle of Higher Education reports.

    This is why change is needed in education….the high level of student loan burden, coupled with the underemployed. So many young people are settling for jobs in retail and restaurants to make ends meet, despite their degrees, and following the path they have been taught to take. We must teach our youth to utilize their skills and degrees and find ways to be self reliant through entrepreneurship.
