New Jersey: NJBEST College Savings Plan Now Getting High Marks After Rough Start

“When New Jersey launched its 529 college savings plan in the late 1990s, the program was a bit of a joke. With high fees and low returns, many New Jersey families snubbed the plan — ironically called NJBEST — and invested in other state’s programs to save for their children’s education. But over the past decade, NJBEST has staged a comeback,” The Star-Ledger reports.
