“Changes to the federal Pell Grant program have resulted in thousands of Alabama students losing their grants for fall 2012 and could lead to more grant losses for students and tuition increases by colleges and universities having to compensate for lost funding based on enrollment decreases, according to an Alabama Commission on Higher Education report,” the Dothan Eagle reports.
