In a recent Time article, “Oregon is revealed as a state that reduced investment in higher education by 10 percent to 20 percent. Some states such as California, facing more than a 20 percent reduction since 2006, had more state support to begin with,” Pat Acklin, an associate professor of geography at Southern Oregon University, writes in a Mail Tribune opinion piece.
