Power Love Time

4 February 2007 1 views One Comment

I read something with great interest on one of the hundreds of blogs I read every day about search engine marketing. This one fits in nicely with the whole “give to get” philosophy of C.C. Chapman and Chris Brogan. Here’s the short version:

  • Promoting sites that link to you boosts the value of those links and the linking site. Everyone wins.

I love the much-cliched but seldom real “win-win”, but this is clearly one of them. Thus, I’m going on a tear, beginning right now. Every page that has a great link to the Financial Aid Podcast will get tagged by me in del.icio.us and StumbleUpon. I’ll give as much love as I can. In this case, using third party services boosts the linking sites even more, since they’ll get links here and also on their respective service sites.

Updated: It was Neil Patel’s Link Building Blog that first mentioned this.
