Yesterday the Senate passed a fiscal year (FY) 2013 continuing resolution (CR) to fund the federal government through the remainder of the fiscal year (September 30). The CR, which generally provides level funding for student aid programs, includes a bipartisan amendment from Senators James Inhofe (R-OK) and Kay Hagan (D-NC) to restore Tuition Assistance (TA) funds for active duty military that were suspended as a result of sequestration.
