Daily Aid 9: Scholarship Hunter Dashboard
Daily Aid 9: Scholarship Hunter Dashboard
News You Can Use
iGoogle is a handy little interface for keeping things collected in one place if you use the Web a lot. Did you know, however, that it’s also a great place to create at-a-glance dashboards for virtually every kind of business, news, and services tracking? Here’s an example of an iGoogle dashboard I set up just for scholarship tracking:
Click on the picture to make it larger.
You’ll notice I’ve got scholarship award notifications from StudentScholarshipSearch.com and Fastweb on the left.
In the middle are spreadsheets and essays using Google Docs, along with financial aid related blogs, and of course my inbox for email, which is vital for things like notifications from scholarship foundations.
On the right is Google Notebook, which is a handy way of managing a to-do list that you can access from anywhere, along with information brought in from Google Calendar, which is a great way to manage scholarship deadlines.
To get started, go to www.Google.com/ig and you’ll see a blank page. On the upper right, look for Add Stuff, and then start typing in the things you want to add to your page. If you’re managing a scholarship hunting team (as mentioned in our free Scholarship Search Secrets eBook), you can add a Facebook login, Twitter, and whatever other content on the web you frequent.
Make this your homepage, and you’ve got an instant scholarship hunting dashboard that will let you stay on top of all your scholarship search efforts in just one page.
Did you enjoy this? If so, please consider subscribing for free to get it delivered to you. Subscribing for free means you don’t have to remember to download it every day.
